  From 8 - 12 November 2023 our hometown Leeuwarden will turn into one big cinema. The NOORDELIJK FILM FESTIVAL will take over the city. Five days filled with Nordic inspired movies. Showing at four different venues in town. A full schedule with movies, workshops, music, food & drinks and more movies :-) LAB1925 celebrates this special event with the CINEMA DAYS. "We love making things" Let's bring our garments home. That was the leading idea when we where thinking of a photoshoot on location. We have been coming in Portugal for many years now. Our clothes, your clothes, are made there. Just around the corner of the atelier we found many scenic spots. A quarry, the beach, an abandoned house. Fabrics in depth part two: Tencel

Tencel, what is it?   Tencel is a 100% natural fabric. The fibers originate from the renewable raw material wood, created by photosynthesis. Tencel is extremely soft and comfortable to wear. How its made: Tencel is made from wood pulp. The wood pulp is dissolved in a reused solvent which is then pushed through an extruder to form the fibres. This fibre is then made into fabric. Fabrics in depth part one: Linen

  Linen, what is it? Linen is a flax-based fabric. It is one of the oldest natural fabrics. And it is the perfect fabric for warmer days. We therefore use linen in every summer collection. Linen is sustainable and gets softer over time. How it’s made Linen is made out of flax: a flowering plant with small white or blue flowers which attract insects.
