Fabrics in depth part two: Tencel

Fabrics in depth part two: Tencel

Tencel, what is it?

Tencel is a 100% natural fabric. The fibers originate from the renewable raw material wood, created by photosynthesis. Tencel is extremely soft and comfortable to wear.

How its made:

Tencel is made from wood pulp. The wood pulp is dissolved in a reused solvent which is then pushed through an extruder to form the fibres. This fibre is then made into fabric.

The chemical used in this process of making the fabric is being reused.

Tencel is 100% Biodegradable
